CSS is a way to separate the content of a html document from its presentation. The html specifies what elements are on the page and how they are grouped and then the stylesheet specifies how the page looks. This is useful for a couple of reasons. PHP is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML. Short for search engine optimization, the process of increasing the amount of visitors to a Web site by ranking high in the search results of a search engine. The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that that site will be visited by a user. It is common practice for Internet users to not click through pages and pages of search results, so where a site ranks in a search is essential for directing more traffic toward the site. SEO
Web standards is a general term for the formal standards and other technical specifications that define and describe aspects of the World Wide Web. About Me

My name is Liam Serrant and I am a web designer & developer from Bradford, Yorkshire. I create websites for individuals, small businesses, start up businesses and existing businesses.

I studied for two years at Bradford College and then onto Bradford University for a further three years before graduating in June 2006 with a BSc 2:1 honours.

Web Design

The websites I create are built with the client in mind. I will listen to what you, as the client need in terms of design and content of the proposed web site. All my websites are fully bespoke sites built from scratch and in accordance with the latest web standards compliances.
All you need to do is provide me with necessary content text for the web site, then I'll do the rest. I will also do any other setting up your hosting account for you. See here.

Content Management & E-commerce

I can also offer to build you Content Management Sites(CMS) or an E-commerce site. As these are more complexed websites to build, I use pre-built custom software packages for both types of sites. This way I can keep the sites up-to-date with the latest software releases. Also with these types of sites you can add on various types extra software content to give your site more flexibility.
